I met the Redlingers on a quiet Tuesday afternoon in mid-November at South Mesa Trailhead in Boulder. In classic Colorado fashion, the Flatirons were absolutely showing off, glowing in that soft late-fall light that makes everything feel a little slower. To be honest, this maternity session felt more like spending time with friends. It was easy, giggly, and natural from start to finish. Between laughing together, wandering the trails, and sharing their gender announcement with pink flowers and an ultrasound, we celebrated this exciting season for them.
One of my biggest priorities when working with new clients is getting a feel for how comfortable they are in front of the camera. I always come prepared with natural prompts, light posing, and ideas for great photos....but I never want it to feel forced or not you. Before our session together, I send out a questionnaire that covers what you’re hoping to get out of your photos, anything specific you want, and any questions or concerns you might have. That insight stays top of mind during our time together! The Redlingers were the perfect example of this; they showed up completely themselves, relaxed and confident, and the photos truly speak for themselves!
It's never too early to book your session. Reach out to me to get it on the books!
"I cannot recommend Megan enough! From start to finish, Megan is incredible to work with. She has a wonderful way of immediately putting you at ease, which made the session genuinely fun and comfortable. The photos came out so natural, light, and authentic, never feeling overly posed or edited. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! We are already looking forward to booking her for our next photography session!"
